Neighborhood Services Unit serves s the bridge between the southeast district and BPD, prioritizing community involvement through cop walks, facilitated discussions, meeting neighbors, etc.

Zeke Cohen, City Councilman, District 1
Safety: Patterson Park is involved in the Southeast Baltimore Public Safety Task force. Patterson Park was selected along with two other Baltimore neighborhoods to pilot micro-community policing initiatives, allowing community members to have a voice in determining our community's relationship with law enforcement, and contributing to what policing should look like in our area.
Legislation: There is upcoming legislation for all single-stall public restrooms to be gender-inclusive; stay tuned for more information on this around Pride Week.
Shift in City government: Former Mayor Pugh resigned on May 2. Acting Mayor Jack Young is in place, and Brandon Scott was unanimously elected as President of the City Council.
