Package Theft

Prevention

Packages are often left on the front doorstep by carriers which allows for the opportunity of having a passerby take it in the hopes for getting something valuable. You can help prevent these types of incidents by occurring by doing the following:

  • Sign up for UPS MyChoice and FedEx Delivery manager for your home.
These will allow you to receive notifications from the carrier and reroute packages if needed. You can also have you packages held at local UPS or FedEx stores.
  • Have packages sent to an alternate location.
If your place of work doesn’t allow you to receive packages, find a friend that is willing to do so for you or use one of these locations:

    • Canton Games (Free)
    • VirCity (Fee per size)
  • Get to know your neighbors!
