There was a wonderful array of snacks at the meeting. Huge thank you to everyone who cooked, backed, and otherwise procured nourishment for sharing at this meeting. It was wonderful. My belly is still happy.

Canton Updates and Q&A from Sean Flanagan
Running for City Council in District 1, former Canton Community Association President, current Canton Community Association VP
Topic: Canton Community Association concerns and priorities which relate to PPNA
WTMD’s First Thursdays will be at Canton Waterfront Park again this year
They’ve been so successful that other big events want to come to Canton Waterfront- they don’t want all of them though (too busy!) so some of them might try to come to Patterson Park

Canton Waterfront Park is going through a mini-master planning session with Rec n Parks, they want a splash pad, more space for the park, etc.
if they take out the ice rink from Patterson Park, Rec n Parks is considering putting the ice rink on the Canton Waterfront Park extension
Canton is concerned about this, though
They’re also somewhat concerned about the new Kopp development along Boston St and how it will affect traffic in both of our neighborhoods

Big request to the city – do something about Boston St as it goes East from Canton Crossing
